A finished project

I have today off, and for once I really feel like I have got a lot done. This Saturday we are hosting our 6th annual Survivor Party, so Jonas and I started the day of getting our shopping done. When we got home we got things arranged, did a little cleaning and as I write the last load of laundry is being washed.

I also got around to take a picture of a cardigan I finished last week, though I haven't got around to wash it yet so it's rolling a bit, but I hope washing it will help. Sorry for the bad picture, this selfie thing just aren't something I'm good at.

I have now started a new project, a blanket for Jonas. I bought a lot of cotton yarn when we were in Turkey, it was a bit cheaper than here. At first I thought the price was pretty much the same as a lot of yarn here, but the quality seemed a bit better. I wasn't until I got home I realised that it was 100 g balls, instead of the regular 50 g. So it was actually really cheap.

The picture isn't the best, the colours are much better live, the part I have crocheted is more green.

Have a great day:)

My weekend started yesterday!

Can you believe my weekend started on a Thursday afternoon? Well as I have said before I have the best boss ever... A few weeks back he asked if I could take an extra closing shift this Monday, due to people being on vacation etc. I knew he had taken an extra the week before, and was thinking I didn't really want to, but we need to help each other out so I said yes, to which he replied "you can take Friday off then!" So for sure I can take an extra closing shift, though it meant 14 hours work Monday and Wednesday and 8-9 hours Tuesday and Thursday... But it paid off:)
Tomorrow we are babysitting my husbands Godson, and he is spending the night. He asked if he could bring his playstation games (which of course he can), and we are just going to really enjoy ourselves. I believe I'm allowed to spoil him rotten as long as it not my own child, and besides it's only the second time he is spending the night, so it's not something that happens all the time.

But I do have lot to do on my day off, I need to:

  • Fold the laundry and do the last few loads
  • Watch the episode of "Desperate Housewives" that I recorded on Wednesday
  • Drink my cold chocolate milk in the fridge (I think that is one of my cravings during my pregnancy)
  • Go shoe shopping, I need a new pair of black shoes for next Saturday
  • Do a little grocery shopping, you need a lot of junk food for babysitting a 7-year old:)
  • Tidy up a little, then again my husband is home early on Fridays so I guess that will be his job:)
  • Catch up on all the blogs (I haven't had time to read many this week)
  • Go to some friends house for dinner

Uhh I got a busy day:) Enjoy your weekend!

Another day off...

Again I have a day off... well more of less, I was at work this morning for a few hours to open the store. Today is a holiday so I just had to help the employees getting started and order some more plants. So I have the rest of the day off, and I don't even have to cook dinner, because we have been invited to my in laws for dinner.

The down side is the weather, it's cloudy and have been raining, which it probably will do again. Another down side my husband is off work tomorrow as well, and I will be working 15 hours and then working 10 hours on Saturday, and a few hours Sunday... So today will be relaxing with coffee, a great book and maybe a movie.

Enjoy your weekend when you get there, I will be working:)

A day off...

I have had today off, and still have plenty of it left.
I went out to brunch at this great café with a friend from work, we were lucky to finally have a day off together, well a day during the week. I had the best brunch with bagels, fresh cranberry juice, eggs, sausages and best of all hash browns, I love them and I hardly ever have them. After brunch we went shopping, or at least looking. I needed a new pair of jeans, I have just discovered a hole in one of my favourite pairs, so I guess it wasn't a luxury, but I found a really nice shirt as well. But how come every time I don't really need anything and don't really have the money for it I can find loads of really cool clothes? And then I go for something specific I can't find anything?

Well just got home, and I might go enjoy a cup of coffee outside with a great book, before cooking an early dinner since I'm going the cinema tonight... we ended up choosing "The Joneses" since "Date Night" were playing for the last time this weekend.
Thursday is a national holiday in Denmark, but since I'm now working in a garden center we will be open on Thursday, but I just have to go in to work in the morning and help them get started. So after a few hours I will be off work again for almost a whole day, but I will then be working all day Friday and Saturday. Friday especially annoys me because my husband have got Friday off as well as Thursday.

I'm going to enjoy my afternoon coffee, and enjoy the rest of my day off.
