12 MOC June

Back in February I got a text from my brother with a picture he had seen on facebook. It was 4 people wearing crocheted shorts! I had seen it before, and I had laughed at it as well. My brother texted me the picture asking if I could make him a pair. I figured he was joking, and just responed "off course, if you pay the yarn".

We texted a bit over a couple of days, and it turned out he was serious! And I was in trouble, I have never made anything without a recipe, and I could find one online!

I decided to just give it a shut, but first I had another project to finish. It kept rotating in the back of my mind how to do it, I talked to a friend of mine, who is superb at sewing. She guided me to make a blanket, sew fabric on the back, cut the out and sew the together.... Luckily she agreed to help:)

All the trouble I had to go through to get them done... First I had not bought enough fabric, then the blanket wasn't big enough.... When we finally got them finished, the legs turned out to be too wide, so back to the sewing maching (which by the way isn't my strong side).

I took the picture with my phone and are now in the Ipad so you will have to make do with a screen dump from Instagram.
I finished them, now his challenge is to wear them:) a fun project, but not one I would do again:)

Get ready for a picture overload:)

Okay the last 1½ week just passed by in no time, getting back to work, my birthday last Wednesday, working most of the weekend, and all of this week, just left me more than tired when I get home, so blogging has been the last thing on my mind. This post will be mostly pictures from our trip to Turkey, and not much text.

 Jonas at the pool, and yes I know it should have been turned, but I'm too tired and my computer way too slow for me to bother deleting it and uploading it again. He loved being at the pool, as long as we stayed more or less in the shade. Then the sun would come over to our seats, he looked at Frank and said they needed a break in our room.

 During one of their breaks I tried the Turkish Bath - Hamam. And I also got a face mask and a massage. It was really amazing, and I really enjoyed it.

 With my chocolate face mask, I honestly have no idea what that should be good for, but the picture is quite fun to have.

 At the hotel playground, and as the responsible parents we are, we had beer at the playground... the pool was just behind us, and so was the pool bar, but I would leave Jonas on the playground by himself. 

 As I wrote last week the food at the hotel wasn't amazing, so some nights we went out for dinner. Twice we actually went to the same place. I was a Dane who had started a restaurant in Alanya and the food was amazing, the service great, so why not go back?

Jonas made friends with the waiters, especially this girl. When he saw her he would either run to her or wave at her, and she adored him too. She got quite a few hugs and kisses from him.

So overall an okay trip, the flight was really bad, because we flew with an old and really noisy plane, which resulted in headaches, and the food at the hotel was boring. But we really got to relax, which I guess was the whole point of the vacation.

I'm back...

We actually got back from Turkey on Saturday evening. We had a great vacation, but one thing is for sure, we are never going to an all-inclusive again... well at least not in Turkey. The food was the same everyday, and after a few days that just gets boring. We thought it would be easier having all inclusive with Jonas, so that we didn't have to go out every night looking for a place to eat. But let's face it, there are restaurants and bazaars everywhere in Alanya. We ended up eating out 3 evenings out the 7, just because we needed something different. I'm not saying every all inclusive is bad, because the first and only time I had been to at all inclusive before was back in 2010, when we went to a wedding in Punta Cana, and that was amazing, but then again it had 7 ala carte restaurants and a big buffet, so it wasn't the same everyday.

Nonetheless we had a good vacation, we spent a lot of time by the pool, which is a bit boring, but Jonas loved it. We usually started in the morning, and had chairs in the shade, and around 11 am the sun came to those chairs, well then Jonas would like to have break, so him and Frank usually took a break and I got to tan a bit. 

We didn't get to see much, but we got to relax. I also got to try the Hamam (Turkish bath), which I really enjoyed, but since I haven't got my pictures from the camera yet, you will have to do with just the one of Jonas in the pool doing a handstand.... well I didn't a handstand, and came up, he told me I looked like a whale... honestly a WHALE, couldn't he have said a mermaid or a dolphin, but a WHALE come on! I guess you should hear the truth from kids... but Jonas said he also could do a handstand... look at the that and he has the nerve to call me a whale:)

He loved being in the pool, and as the days went by he got more and more brave, which meant having to keep an eye on him at all times! The first few days he would happily stay in the baby pool and only go in the big pool with us... but oh boy in the end he would try to sneak over into the big pool if we were looking away for a second....

You will get more pictures later, now I have to fold the last laundry, I got a bit of a setback yesterday then the dryer suddenly broke down, of course it will do that when you got 3 suitcases full of dirty clothes! So we had to go get a new one, but it delayed my laundry! Though now it's only folding left!

Happy Belated Easter

Once again more than a week passed without me blogging, but being off work for 5 whole days was so nice and so busy. But busy in a good way.

Thursday before Easter there is an annual Motorcycle gathering in our city. We usually go there and look at the motorcycles, and this year was no exception. We started out having breakfast at some friends house and then went into town. When we first arrived there wasn't too many motorcycles, so we went to the playground for a while. When we got back from the playground there was a lot more motorcycles, though it looks really empty on the one picture I got. Jonas ended up falling asleep in the stroller, so we sat outside at a cafe and had a beer before going home.

On Friday we went to visit my parents, my brother was all ready there from the day before. They had arranged an Easter Egg hunt for Jonas, and he loved it.

He was spoiled rotten and had to get Uncle T. to help carry some of the Easter Eggs. My aunt also came, and we had a nice Easter lunch. We spent the night at my parents, and drove back on Saturday. 

We spent Saturday relaxing, doing a bit of yard work, and playing outside, the weather was fantastic. On Sunday Jonas and I went to Legoland again so Frank could get some work done. Again the weather was fantastic, so we were not the only one visiting, so there was a bit of a longer line than last time. But it didn't matter because if I would have let Jonas he would have spent the day looking at trains, boats and cars in miniland.

On Monday we went to Fanoe (a small Island just off the coast of Esbjerg). We went to have lunch with Franks parent in their summerhouse.

So all in all we had a great Easter, but we could have used a few more days to relax, so the upcoming weekend is very much needed.

Back to normal

Well we seem to be getting back to our normal routine now. Jonas is over the chicken pox, and will be back in daycare tomorrow.

My mum came here on Monday afternoon and stayed till Friday, so we could still go to work and she would watch Jonas. The thing is when my mum is here she doesn't only take care of Jonas... she cleans, she cooks and she does the laundry... it's like having an Au pair.

On Thursday I think Jonas would have been ready for daycare, but since my mum was here he stayed home. On Friday my dad came as well, because they were attending grandparents day in the daycare. They had a really nice time, and Jonas had been really excited to see all his friends again.

While my mum was here it was snowing, and when I arrived home late on Tuesday night after working till 10.00 pm this was the sight I saw.

They had been building snowmen, all of five snowmen. Jonas really had enjoyed himself, and didn't want to go inside. On Wednesday the had gone out to decorate them with carrot noses and pebble buttons and eyes.

 

My mum tried to get a picture of him and all 5 snowmen, but he kept moving around, so she got one without telling him she was photographing him.

Now there isn't much left of the snowmen, hopefully that means that spring is here, or is here very soon anyways. Though Jonas is a bit upset that his snowmen is gone.

Happy New Year - Christmas re-cap

Well first Happy New Year, hope you all had a wonderful start to 2014. I can't wait to see what 2014 brings, but instead of a re-cap of 2013 I will show a few pictures from our Christmas Eve instead.

 

In Denmark we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, and we open presents on Christmas Eve. My parents arrived at our place on the 22nd, so my mum helped cook and clean, which was great. On Christmas Eve everyone was here, which means my parents, my brother, Franks parents, his sister and his brother.

 

Jonas got his first present in the morning, he got a work bench, so he would be entertained for some of the day. He would pull the door back and say I'm going to my tool shed.

 Before we had dinner Santa came by, unfortunately we didn't take any pictures, but I know my mum did, so I have to get her to e-mail them to me. It was our Next door neighbour, and afterwards Frank returned the favor. I think it's a really nice tradition to have started, last year was the first time he paid a visit, and best of all he brought a little present for everyone, not just Jonas.

 

After dinner, it was time for presents. It has usually been me or Franks sister who has to give out the presents because we were the youngest. But this year we got to retired, and Jonas did a really good job. He found one, asked who it was for, gave it to the person and as soon as the unwrapped it he put the paper in the trash bag. The only presents he didn't asked who it was for was the ones wrapped in Cars paper, he knew these were for him:)

 No one ever buys anything for the cat, well except for my mum, I think it's because when I was a kid and we had a dog, she was just as big a part of the family as the rest of us, so she got presents and even gave presents. So my mum had bought Gustav a present, which Jonas and my brother helped him unwrap.

By the time we reached the last presents Jonas was getting tired, so he sat down in his chair, saying I just have to relax a bit. But as soon as the present was unwrapped he found another one. After finishing opening presents Jonas was ready for bed, and he fell asleep right away. The 25th was then spent relaxing and playing with his new toys.

Is Christmas really just 4 days away?

Okay I can't believe that Christmas is just 4 short days away... the last couple of weeks have just been crazy/busy. It seems like the only day I had off was last Wednesday, which Jonas and I spent driving the bus into town, go swimming and ride the bus back. He thought it was so much fun, and was extremely tired afterwards, so tired he fell asleep on the bus ride back home:)

Otherwise it's been a mix of work and different Christmas gatherings. Then last my parents called that my uncle had passed away. He had been sick for quite a while, and when he passed away he was all prepared for it. He had talked to his 2 sons, his brothers (my father), and was ready to go. He was sure he was going to meet up with his wife again. I started to worry that the funeral would be on Saturday, where I was working. It was a really busy weekend, and would pretty much be impossible to trade away. Well the funeral ended up being this Tuesday, which was my day off. It was a really beautiful funeral, and nice to see lots of my family which we only see every second year at family reunions, though the occasion could have been better.

Though since I had planned to get a lot done on Tuesday, so I could get ready for  Christmas, well I was left a little behind. Though driving 1½ hour each way did put me a bit in the Christmas mood, I finally got time to listen to my Christmas Cd's. Luckily I have the weekend off, and will be getting the rest ready for Christmas. My parents will arrive on Sunday, so my mum will help get a little cleaning done, and cook Christmas dinner. 

On Christmas Eve we will be 10 people here for dinner and opening gifts. Both our parents, my brother and Franks brother and sister. So in case I don't get around to blogging again before Christmas, which I probably won't, the Merry Christmas everyone:)

A weekend of birthdays

On Thursday my brother turned 40. I called to wish him a Happy Birthday, and asked where our invitation was. He said that our mum had said that I was working, so he figured it was no use inviting us, to which I replied it wasn't until the weekend I was working. So we had to find a date later on for us to celebrate his birthday.

 

Little did he know, and on Friday afternoon we went to a bar close to his home. Some of he colleagues had arranged a surprise party for him. It was the best, he had no clue, and he was speechless when he arrived. He had even complained to one of his colleagues that "My sister isn't coming for my birthday, she is always working!" We stayed at the bar for a few hours, and then all of us went out for dinner. I was a really nice afternoon/evening.

 

Saturday night I was at another 40th birthday party, for a friend of mine, she was having an all girls party, and we had a fab time. But I so tired yesterday, and unfortunately I had to work at 1 pm till 10 pm.

 

I have today of, and I had considered keeping Jonas home, but I figured I could use a little alone time, get a few things done around the house, and I have to be home because there is suppose to come a guy and fix our Internet, since it is not always running too great. So I figured Jonas would have more fun with his friends in daycare.

A new job = fewer hours = a very busy me...

I don't get it. I thought that my new job with fewer hours would leave me more time to blogging etc. So far that hasn't happened.

Last Monday I had the day off, because I had been working during the weekend. Jonas and I enjoyed ourselves, carving a pumpkin, visiting the playground etc. Well Jonas didn't do the carving, it is probably best not leaving him with a knife, but he coloured some small pumpkins while I carved the big one.

Last Tuesday I started the new job, but so far I haven't really started my new position, it's been a little crazy there the last 2 weeks... but hopefully soon I will start my new assignments. But I love have a schedule to follow, so when my plan says I'm off a 3.00 pm I can leave at 3.00 pm and not feel guilty about leaving it to someone else.

On Saturday Jonas and I had invited my parents and my brother to Legoland. None of them had been there since we were kids, I think they said the last time they were there was in 1988... so a lot had changed, to say the least. Jonas loved showing them around, as soon as he saw the train he told my mum that they had to go on it, my brother laughed, but a little to early, because he wanted him and my dad to come along as well. I actually think my brother secretly liked it.

The best thing about going with my parents and brother was that my brother and I got to try some of the wilder rides, and my parents would watch Jonas. I had also told Jonas that his uncle would take him on his "wild" rides, so my brother had to get into "the worm" which didn't leave much space for his legs.

We had a really fun day, and returned with a very tired boy.

On Sunday night Jonas started running a fever, and has been home sick Monday - Wednesday. Luckily enough Frank was also sick Monday and Tuesday, and my parents in law had him on Wednesday. Today he was back in daycare, which meant a very tired boy again today.

Hopefully I will get to update the blog a little more frequently now, but who knows, it seems like I said that a hundred times. Have a great weekend.

A fun weekend

This past weekend my parents had invited us and my brother on a small getaway in a cabin about 2 hours away. 

It was a really small cabin, but it was a really nice and relaxing weekend. We spent time at the beach, the playground and shopping. Though the shopping wasn't my favorite part since I wasn't feeling too well.

My ear was really hurting, and I was considering seeing a doctor, though it seemed a bit of a hazzle since I would have to find out where to go etc. So I decided to wait till the afternoon, but for some strange reason after eating lunch it got better, and by Sunday morning it was all gone.... I don't know how or why, maybe it was in the food?

I hope to get around to blog a bit more from next week, since then I will be starting my new job, and therefor fewer hours working:)

Chickens come in all shapes and sizes...

Sorry for not blogging, I was working last weekend... well on Sunday I actually ended going home after a few hours, because I kept running to the bathroom throwing up. So I was in bed the rest of Sunday, I had Monday off, but was feeling all to well, but I managed to enjoy the day with Jonas anyways. The rest of the week has pretty much flown away. I'm working late today, but then I will be off for 3 whole days, since Monday is a national holiday.

On Sunday night we are attending my cousin and her husbands 25th wedding anniversary. Remember I wrote their place cards. We are dropping Jonas of at my parents in law Sunday and noon and picking him up sometime Monday. 

On their wish list is pretty much just money, since they would like to take their 4 kids for a vacation in the USA. But I think it's a bit boring just bringing an envelope with money. So I figured I would make some chickens (they have a chicken farm, and every month they produce hundreds of chickens). I found a recipe for the big one, and thought they were quite fun. The small ones are going on a chicken house that is being used for songs. In Denmark it's common to bring a song for the people having a party, well at least at weddings, confirmations, anniversaries, big birthday parties etc.

I'm still here...

I haven't disappeared completely, but I seem to have been hit by a bloggers block.
Well sort of, when I get an idea of what to blog about I either don't have the time or the energy to do it, and when I have the time and energy to blog... well then I don't have the ideas!

Since my last post nothing much have happened, I have been working, spending time with my family and I guess that is pretty much it! Though I don't know when I will be blogging again, because now the weather is finally great here in Denmark, maybe a bit too hot. So the next couple of days I will be enjoy the weather, because we never know how long it will last.

Though I will leave you with a picture from this weekend of Jonas in his sandbox, I guess that sums up pretty good what we have been doing the last couple of weeks. I know I said the weather was great here, and he is wearing a sweater, but on Saturday I wasn't as hot as it is now.

Ohh and another BIG thing has happened since my last post, Jonas has started walking... well at least a few steps, but he is taking a few extra steps every day now, so pretty soon he will be running around:)

Fish and seals:)

We spent a few hours today at the Fisheries and Maritime museum here in Esbjerg. At my work they have season passes that we can borrow for free, so I took them home on Friday, and today we went there. Shortly after we arrived it was time for the seals to be fed, I thought it was pretty neat seeing them swim around, one of them were waving etc. though they didn't really catch Jonas' attention.

After the feeding we went inside to see the different aquariums, that seemed to be a bit more interesting for Jonas, and the best part was a little aquarium where he could walk along, and he thought he could pet the fish... he loved it, he kept talking while walking from one end to the other.

They also have a lot of outside displays about the fishing history in Denmark, and in Esbjerg. Though Jonas just liked being outside, and preferably being carried instead of being in his stroller. The last stop was at the playground, where he tried a few things, but his favorite was probably the swing, he really seemed to enjoy it.

Now he is napping, Frank has just left to see a soccer game, and I have a little time for myself. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend:)

This and that

Well this will be a post about a little of this and that...

Friday Jonas started his baby swimming class, and he really enjoyed it, and so did we:) People often talk about how you feel lighter in water... well I have never really thought of it, then again I didn't really go swimming during my pregnancy (which probably the time I would really have felt lighter in water), but after having been in the water and going up the stairs with Jonas on my arm, well he suddenly felt really heavy. Well I did actually go swimming when I was almost 6 months pregnant, when we went to Punta Cana, but I guess since I had a really easy pregnancy I didn't feel much of a difference to whether I was in the water or not... except from when I had to get out of the water, I had to use the stairs I couldn't just jump up the side of the pool:)

Speaking of Punta Cana, we went there to attend the wedding of this cute couple...

and just the other day I got a e-mail from her, and guess what? She is pregnant:) And the funny thing about it... she is due on Jonas' first birthday! But I know better than anyone, that the due date is not necessarily the date you give birth, but it's still a bit fun:)

As mentioned before this Monday my Mum turned 70, and we celebrated her birthday on Saturday. The brass band I used to play in wanted to come a surprise her, which was really fun. I went in first with my horn, and said that I hadn't prepared a speech, but I wanted to play a song instead... the look on my mums face was priceless. She tried to look like she was really happy about it, but you could see she was thinking "is she really going to do this, and will that be any good?" thanks mum! Well then I said, "no not by myself, I brought along some friends" and the rest of the band came in, and she seemed to relax a bit... did she really think I would play solo? and if I did, did she really think I would be that bad, so I would embarrass myself?

Well I guess that will be it, enjoy the rest of the week:)

A busy Easter

We had a busy Easter, but fun at the same time. On Thursday my parents came, and we went into town where there was motorcycle rally. There didn't seem to be as many motorcycles there as there was when we went 2 years ago, but there were a whole lot of people... way too many so we didn't stay long.

On Friday my brother and my aunt came by for lunch, and we had a fairly relaxing day. The weather during Easter has been amazing, but on Friday it seemed to be so hot that Jonas couldn't fall asleep, so he hardly slept all day... but he didn't get upset until evening, so it didn't seem so bad.

On Saturday we visited some friends and went out for lunch. Yesterday we went to visit my parents in law at their summerhouse on this little island outside Esbjerg. So Jonas got to go on the ferry for the first time. We went for a walk when we got of the ferry before calling Franks parents so they could pick us up, so I was able to snap a few pictures from the island. It's really beautiful, especially when the weather is great.

In between everything we have done my husband has managed to finish his photo studio in the garage... well after snapping a few pictures out there he realised he needed another lamp, which is now on the way, and soon he will be up and running... though he is just going to use it as a hobby, I doubt you can charge people when you have no practice, but he is looking forward to practiscing with all the light settings and editing the pictures afterwards. Me... well I'm looking forward to getting some great pictures of Jonas:)

What a great weekend!

This weekend was a great one, but also a long one!

On Friday afternoon we drove down to my parents, and boy is there a lot to pack when you are very much pregnant. What if I was to give birth this weekend? Well the car was packed with our overnight bag, a bag for the hospital, a car seat etc. I guess we just have to get used to it. So we had a great dinner at my parents place, and then watched the semi finals of the mens world cup in handball. Denmark was playing Spain, and we won... YEAH!

On Saturday I was going to meet up with our old Brass Band which I used to play in, we meet up at a cabin in the woods once a year, and play all day Saturday, and to my suprise I could hang on, because when practising last week I was out of breath within minutes! On Saturday night we had a party where spouses, parents, kids etc. are invited. I had decided not to spent the night in the cabin but at my parents place instead, and we were back around midnight.

Sunday I had to be back at the cabin at 9.00 am, and we play for a few hours again. Afterwards they were getting lunch ready, but I was exhausted so I headed back to my parents instead. After lunch with my parents we packed the car again and left for home. I slept in the car, and was still tired when we got home. When I was resting on the couch I realised what I was feeling... I hadn't felt like that in ages, and honestly I don't miss the feeling! I felt like I was hungover from partying all night!

I don't think I'm able to get any bigger by now! The picture is taken last week, so I'm probably all ready bigger:)

After a nap we went to watch the final in the world cup at some friends, they had invited us for dinner and the game. Denmark were playing France, and within ordinary time the game tied, so they prolonged the game and Denmark lost, but they played well, and considering that it is a fairly new team I'm super happy with 2nd place. Besides before the world cup their goal was to be in top 7, so I guess they were happy too. Well probably not right after loosing the game, but after a good nights sleep I'm sure the boys will realise what an amazing job they have done.

When we got home around 9.00 pm last night I headed straight to bed, and slept till 10.00 am this morning... well I didn't sleep all that well, I was awake several times, I can't wait for this pregnancy to be over... or at least just the heart burn, it always comes at bedtime no matter what I do!

Is that mean?

I'm I mean when I answer my mother in laws text, all while knowing that they are in Thailand on vacation and it's 3.00 in the morning?

I just figured she must sooner or later realise that when she is texting us all odd hours of the day when they are travelling I will do the same! I got a text from her at 5.30 this morning.... on a freaking Saturday! Well I can't be all to mad, because my cell phone was in the my bag and I didn't see it until this afternoon. But honestly, couldn't she think about the time difference before texting?

So I asked my husband what time it was in Thailand, and we figured it would be around 3.00 am, and I said I would text her. Knowing they are probably asleep in their hotel room and will hear it. But hopefully she will learn by this!

But am I too much? Should I just let it go? but let's face it, it's not the first time it happens!

Another universe...

Yesterday we went down to my parents place and celebrated my mum's belated birthday, which was just really relaxing and nice.

Today we went to another universe... well we went to Danfoss Universe which is a theme park based on teaching kids about science and technology. My husband and I have been there once before, back when they opened in 2005. Back then we weren't too impressed, and I remember we thought I was more of a kids park. Well my parents have season passes (because the live only 10 minutes away, and every once in a while they can go to a free concert there), and on Sundays they can each bring in a guest for free.

So we decided yesterday that we wanted to go today, because there have been a lot done to the theme park over the last 5 years. I had seen in some commercials that you could ride a segway, and well I wanted to try that. My mum said there was always a long line at the segways, but if we got there by the time they opened it wouldn't be too bad. So we went there at 10 a.m. And we were first in line for the segway...

It was really fun, and the hardest thing was actually to keep it completely still. I want a segway now, wouldn't it be cool riding that for work? Well it is probably not going to happen, unless I win the lottery or the prices will really go down:)

We also tried a few other activities, and had quite a lot of fun. We were making waves, on a thing called the human wave... well I was the worst of the 4 of us, and my mum kicked our asses really bad, but hey she got season pass so she has probably been training:)

We also tried the tread mill, so I won't need to go to the gym today, I was competing against my dad and lost again... and my husband and my mum were competing against each other.

We tried a lot of other activities as well, and we walked around the park, which is really nice, with different cool buildings and beautiful flowers all around.

We were there for a few hours, which was fine since we had gotten in for free. If you have to pay full price you should spent the whole day there. In the parking lot they had another attraction where you could lift a car, and here is a picture of my very strong husband lifting a car:)

Unlike last time we were a bit more impressed by the park, but it will probably be another 4 or 5 years before we go again. But we do believe it will be fun to bring a kid there, especially when he or she will reach the age where they will start understand what is going on with the technology.

So all in all we had a nice, relaxing and fun weekend...

It's weekend, and I caved in!

Finally the weekend has arrived, I'm unbelievable tired, so it's very much needed. This morning I even caved in, and are now wearing maternity pants... I hate to admit it, but my old jeans weren't feeling too comfortable any longer, especially as the day turned into evening. The thing is I don't feel I look pregnant yet, just like I ate too much over the summer:) But I must admit I love wearing them, the are just really comfortable, so who cares, and why had no one told me they were so comfortable?

Tonight I believe I will spent on the couch in front of the TV, doing absolutely nothing! Tomorrow we will be heading down to my parents to celebrate my mums belated birthday. I can't wait, a weekend of doing nothing! Just sit and be served, is there anything better? We asked if it was okay to stay till Sunday, to which I of course knew the answer, but you got to ask, right? My mum said she thought we would, so we are staying.

This week at work have been super bad, and I don't hope it will continue at this speed! If it does, well then I'm not gonna last over Christmas... I'll be on sick leave, but hey December won't be the worst month to spent at home... so who knows, I just hope it slows down, but I'm not the one to make those choices.

I'm still a little shocked!

Well after getting home from our big grocery shopping on Wednesday my husband looked at the phone, and told me that my mum had called. I was all like yeah I will call her back after having lunch, it's always like this after getting home from vacation, she calls all the time to tell me different things that has happened during our vacation.

So I had my lunch and called her back, well this thing hadn't happened during our vacation, well it might have, but it hadn't been official until Wednesday. My brother was home, which I found weird since his vacation was over, but it turned out that him and his girlfriend had broken up, and their wedding is/was just 5 weeks away!

To say the least I was shocked... I hadn't seen this coming, neither had my parents or anyone else for that matter. I don't know exactly what happened, I've talked to my brother a few times since Wednesday, but I have decided I don't want to ask too many question, I'm just here to listen, but I for sure would like to know WHAT REALLY HAPPENED! I guess in time I will know, but for now I can just wonder.

We are trying to look on the bright side, so we are saying it's better they break up now, instead of 5 weeks after the wedding. Now they just need to get everything sorted out, like selling the house, finding a place for their dog (none of them will be able to keep it, since they both will be living in apartments) and getting everything cancelled for the wedding.

I guess you never know what the day brings until it's over!
