Survivor Party

Well this Saturday was our Survivor Party, the weather was amazing, and the party was great. We had lots of fun and I am all ready excited about next years party.

Here is a few pictures from the day. Ahead of time both teams were told to make a team drink. The winners would get brunch and the losers would get cornflakes and oatmeal.

The red team showed up with red sodas and popped a strawberry down the bottle:) They said their new style was the didn't drink this year.
The blue team made jello shots and a some kind of mystery drink. Needless to say the blue team won, which disappointed the red team, they thought it was their turn to win the brunch... but it doesn't go by turn, so the blue team had their well deserved brunch. After the blue team was named the winner, the red team said "screw it we will have a cold beer".
The first game was a relay of 3 little games, the first part they had to roll a ping-pong ball down ruler and hit a shot glass.

Second they had to move 3 m&ms using a straw...
and the last part they had to move an egg from a top of a bottle to another bottle only using a string. The red team won big time here, though the ruler the blue team used turned out to be a bit crooked, so he never got the ball in the shot glass.
Another game they had 3 cans of fruit and had to stand on 2 of them and move the third one, and that way the could walk over the finish line. The girl on the red team was really great at it, and the guy on the blue team was really drunk, so he gave up quite fast...
In another game they had to move water from a bucket and fill a glass, again the red team won...
We also had a "balloon dancing" game. 2 people from each team should compete with a balloon between their heads, going under a ladder etc. again the red team won.
Here they are getting pasta penne on a spaghetti, I just love her face in that picture.

We ended up with a red team member winning this years survivor party. I know it seems like the red team won everything, but actually they won pretty much the same amount of games, but the funniest pictures are from the games the red team won.

As you can see we had an amazing time, and I can wait for next year, which will be our 5th time. We are thinking about making it a "greatest hits" and use some of the best games from all the other years.

Sun and water fights...

Today the weather yet again was amazing, the only downside to this warm weather is that Jonas has a bit of trouble sleeping in the afternoon. Luckily it's cooler in the garage, so we ended up putting his pram in there instead of outside (in Denmark it's very common that babies/toddlers sleep outside in their pram, pretty much no matter what the weather is like).

This afternoon Jonas got a drink of water, and every time we filled his cup he took a sip and the spilled the rest on the ground or on himself. In the end he was pretty wet so I decided to have a little water fight with him, and started spraying him with the hose... and he loved it:)

Have a great weekend everyone, I will be enjoying an extra long one since Monday is a holiday here in Denmark!

Another universe...

Yesterday we went down to my parents place and celebrated my mum's belated birthday, which was just really relaxing and nice.

Today we went to another universe... well we went to Danfoss Universe which is a theme park based on teaching kids about science and technology. My husband and I have been there once before, back when they opened in 2005. Back then we weren't too impressed, and I remember we thought I was more of a kids park. Well my parents have season passes (because the live only 10 minutes away, and every once in a while they can go to a free concert there), and on Sundays they can each bring in a guest for free.

So we decided yesterday that we wanted to go today, because there have been a lot done to the theme park over the last 5 years. I had seen in some commercials that you could ride a segway, and well I wanted to try that. My mum said there was always a long line at the segways, but if we got there by the time they opened it wouldn't be too bad. So we went there at 10 a.m. And we were first in line for the segway...

It was really fun, and the hardest thing was actually to keep it completely still. I want a segway now, wouldn't it be cool riding that for work? Well it is probably not going to happen, unless I win the lottery or the prices will really go down:)

We also tried a few other activities, and had quite a lot of fun. We were making waves, on a thing called the human wave... well I was the worst of the 4 of us, and my mum kicked our asses really bad, but hey she got season pass so she has probably been training:)

We also tried the tread mill, so I won't need to go to the gym today, I was competing against my dad and lost again... and my husband and my mum were competing against each other.

We tried a lot of other activities as well, and we walked around the park, which is really nice, with different cool buildings and beautiful flowers all around.
We were there for a few hours, which was fine since we had gotten in for free. If you have to pay full price you should spent the whole day there. In the parking lot they had another attraction where you could lift a car, and here is a picture of my very strong husband lifting a car:)

Unlike last time we were a bit more impressed by the park, but it will probably be another 4 or 5 years before we go again. But we do believe it will be fun to bring a kid there, especially when he or she will reach the age where they will start understand what is going on with the technology.

So all in all we had a nice, relaxing and fun weekend...

A little thing that made me smile

I know I yesterday said I wasn't really into the whole World Cup thing, but after seeing people changing their profile pictures on Facebook, well I got a little caught up with it.

Someone have created this page called "5 million people, 1 mission", they are trying to get the entire Danish nation to change their pictures to red and white.

You are able to edit your picture to look like a soccer fan, and here is my result... so liking the World Cup Games or not, this made me smile:)

Enjoy your weekend.

Drunk or a kid?

I just read the funniest post over at Laugh, Love, Eat Ice Cream, and Carrie had watched an episode of "How I met your mother" where Marshall had introduced a funny new game. Basically, someone tells a story about something ridiculous they did and people have to guess - when you did that were you “Drunk” or “A Kid?”
via

I want to play along, and you guys are welcome to guess the answers and leave a comment, and I will post the answers in a few days.

1. I friend of mine once told me that he would pee on my leg if I didn't leave the room... I didn't leave the room, and he kept his promise... some friend!

2. I once told someone I was famous, and had done quite a few commercials.

3. I once pretended being a ninja and ended up spraining a muscle in my thigh.

4. I once had 23 marshmallows in my mouth at once.

Isn't that fun? Hope you guys will play along!
