Is it spring yet?

This winter has to end soon, I swear it has just been snowing... it's the beginning of April, what is happening?  Global warming? I thought that would give warmer weather!
Doing a self portrait isn't easy but I hope you get the picture:)

Last week it seemed like spring was about to come, but right now it seems that winter has won again. On the positive side though is that my current DIY project is useful now. I got a recipe from a colleague, who asked if I could knit a hat for her 3 girls and for her. At first I thought the recipe looked a bit hard, but I decided to give it a try.
Jonas tried it on as well, he thought he was really funny, unfortunately I only managed to get a picture of him with the hat half off and his eyes half closed.

It turned out when I had it in my hands, well it wasn't that hard at all. I started knitting one for myself from some yarn I had in stock:) It turned out better than expected, and I currently have 4 more to make. She gave me the yarn yesterday, so I have something to do for the next couple of weeks... or months maybe. When I started knitting last week the weather seemed to be getting better, so maybe I should just keep knitting and the sun will come out...

A winter walk...

Today was the first day Jonas was going to be in daycare by himself. When I left we agreed that he should stay for 2 hours, and then I would pick him up again, so he got to start up slowly. About 1 hour and 15 minutes after I dropped him off, she called that maybe we had overestimated the 2 hours, because he was really upset, kept crying and she couldn't get him to calm down. So I went to pick him up, he was quite happy to see me, but it took a bit before he calmed down completely:)

When we got home I decided to take Jonas out for a walk. We got a little bit of snow on Monday evening, but nothing to brag about. The sun was shining, and the ground almost covered with snow I figured it was the perfect weather for a walk to the little lake nearby.

So we put on our warm clothes and started walking. When we got to the lake I was kicking myself for only bringing my pocket camera, because it was an amazing scenery, and well my pocket camera doesn't take the best of pictures.

We went to the feeding spot, to feed the swans and ducks with some old stale bread. But the first part of the lake was covered with a thin layer of ice, so it took a while for the swans to make a "road" to shore. But I think they were happy we brought food, and Jonas was happy watching them eat.
I really enjoyed watching the swan babies (I don't know what the proper name for them is), that had got a bit bigger than this summer. It was fun to see them trying to walk on the ice, they looked like Bambi on ice. Their parents seemed to have tried it before and were better at it.
When we got home, we had lunch and now Jonas is sleeping, hopefully the fresh air will have him take a long nap, he seemed to be needing it, especially since I for some reason was really upset from 1.00 am till 2.30 am last night... So a good long nap is in need, maybe I should take one as well:)

The snow is back...

Just as I thought spring was on its way it started snowing again. The snow started to melt last weekend and by Tuesday it was all gone, yeah! Spring must be on its way, I guess that just lasted for a short while, because yesterday it started snowing again, and not just a little, we got a lot of snow in a short period of time. But again today the sun is shining again, and I'm right here cheering it on. But I'm a wee bit nervous that the snow will be back again, so keeping my fingers crossed that the sun keeps shining.

We're keeping warm...

It's winter and its cold, just hoping spring will come soon... but the outlook is not too good, it will keep freezing for the next week, and maybe more snow over the weekend... but we are keeping warm. We = the cats and me, my husband aren't home tonight he's gone bowling with his colleagues.
So Gustav, Gilbert and I are enjoying ourselves, they are keeping warm with their fur and some treats, and me with my home knitted (by myself) socks and warm coffee:)

It's in the mail

I got an e-mail from Katiegh over at {poprocks} receiving my book swap partner. I got Marchelle from a girls world. I haven't seen her blog before, but I'm looking forward to reading more about her and her world. I just got back from the post office, and my book is now in the mail for her, and hopefully she will like it...
I'm done with sorting papers but it took me most of Monday and half of Tuesday to get it done, well in one of the boxes I found some old letters that my husband and I had written to each other. After we had dated for about 6 or 7 months I was off to Slovenia as a part of my studies, so we wrote each other really long letters. I had completely forgotten about them, but then I found them, I had to read them... and with me writing letters 6-8 pages long, well it took a bit of time to get through them. But fun relive all the memories, though I didn't always have much to tell, so a lot of it was where I had eaten dinner, where we had been drinking beer or that Wendy and I had been to Café Romeo and had got pancakes with nutella and bananas... no wonder I gained weight over those 4 months...
Now I'm looking forward to springtime, the weather really sucks now. I thought the snow was bad, but now its just above freezing, so the snow is starting to melt and its raining outside... so I hate to say it, but I would prefer the snow and the sun from yesterday, instead of the cloudy raining weather today...
