Fill In The Blank Friday

It's been a while since I participated in Lauren's fill in the blank, but with a lack of something to write about, I figured I would give it a go this week:)

1. The best thing I did all week was attending my neighbours birthday on Wednesday. There was a big brunch and lots of cake... it will probably not be the best thing on Monday when I jump on the scale again, but I enjoyed the day:)

2. Seeing Jonas smile and hearing him laugh makes me super happy.

3. Pets are great, especially Gustav the cat, who for some reason know he should be nice to Jonas, even when he pulls his tail... I'm sure if I did that Gustav would be pissed, but when Jonas does it, he looks at him and walk away... I guess Gustav is smarter than he looks:)

4. My family is the best thing about my life.

5. With cooler weather I'm looking forward to what cooler weather? The whole summer has been cool.

6. Something that is on my "wish-list" right now is for my husband to get a job... because then I can justify getting some new clothes that is on my wishlist:)

7. This weekend I'm going to do absolutely nothing, well I don't have any plans yet, besides baby swimming class tonight, but we are probably going to visit some friends.

Fill In The Blank Friday

It's been a busy week at work, and it isn't over yet since I'm working both Saturday and Sunday. So not much have happened this week, and not much to tell, but I decided to join Lauren's fun over at The Little Things We Do.

1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is get in shower and get ready for work. If I don't decide to snooze too much I will have time for a cup of coffee and a little morning TV before leaving.

2. Today I wish I was not working tomorrow, and then I would go somewhere exciting. Instead I will be staying home, going to bed early... or maybe not, because Denmark is playing a soccer game against Portugal tonight, and I might have to cheer for them... or maybe for Portugal (I made a bet at work saying Portugal would win 1-0).

3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd go buy a lot of baby stuff... I have a really long list of things we need to get before the baby arriving... good thing Christmas is coming before the baby:)

4. Tomorrow I will be at work from 7.30 am till 6.15 pm and then dinner will probably consist on some takeaway and the rest of the night will be spent on the couch before heading to bed early as I will be working again Sunday!

5. Two things that don't go together are my sick husband this week and my temper... I'm not good at coping with his whining... as some of you might have seen he also commented on my last post saying he had a flu which only hit men, and which is much more dangerous than the one women and children gets...

6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is chocolate milk... well that is something I haven't been able pass up after I got pregnant, it kind of magically jumps into my cart!

7. The last time I tried something new was does a new chocolate bar with cookies and cream count? Because they had someone handing out tests on them at work today... otherwise I can't quite remember. Though I have signed up for a Zumba class next Saturday, but so far I'm still on a waiting list. Oh and of course being pregnant is new to me and going to the midwife yesterday was also something new... oh so I don try new things every once in a while:)

Have a happy weekend!

Fill In The Blank Friday

It's Friday, the weekend has finally started and it's time for fill in the blanks started by Lauren.

Here we go!

1. The best thing about being in school was/is hanging out with some great friends all day long!

2. The worst thing about being in school was/is I'm going with Lauren on this one - Homework.

3. My favorite subject in school was/is Math! I loved math, it probably had more to do with having great teachers than being good at it. And I love geography, dreaming and learning about faraway places.

4. One subject I wish I could have mastered/would like to master is German. In the part on Denmark I live you get taught German from 4th grade. Though I didn't get a very good teacher until the 10th grade, and that was a bit late starting to learn what I should have learned the past 6 years.

5. I could never get tired of studying geography, whenever it would get boring, I would just daydream myself away to one of the places we were learning about!

6. The most memorable teacher I had was "body" I honestly don't remember his real name. The thing is in Denmark you are on first name basis with most teachers. An this guy had always been called "body", I believe it was because there was a lot of body, he was very overweight, but as big as he was as nice he was. He had the best way off teaching and the most patient teacher ever. Oh and he was my math teacher for 3 years and probably one of the reasons I loved math!

7. If I could choose between going to school for the rest of my life or working for the rest of my life, I'd choose weighing the good and bad, in the end I'm pretty happy with working. Though going to school definitely had its perks!

Enjoy your weekend.

Fill In The Blank Friday... and a long weekend ahead.

It's Friday, and it's time for Laurens Fill In The Blanks. Todays theme is fashion, I guess something we all can relate to... so here we go.

1. One fashion trend I really regret is my orange coloured jeans, what was I thinking, well I believe I was thinking something in the direction of "Well they are from benetton, they are cool". And why did anyone ever let me crepe curl my hair?

2. The one thing that always completes any outfit is a scarf, a necklace or a pair of earrings. The right accessories can make an outfit.

3. I would describe my personal style as hmm... I don't really have a personal style, well I mostly wear jeans, but that is just for practical reasons at work, and I don't always change when getting home. I would love to wear more cute dresses.
4. My fashion muse is I don't really have a fashion muse, or do I? Well I do admire the wardrobe of our Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, she has fab style... or maybe it's just a fab stylist?

5. If I could own one designer piece of clothing it would be a pair of Manola Blahniks of course... why did that take me so much thinking? If you don't want a pair of those after watching "Sex and The City" well what do you want?

6. I would love to raid the wardrobe of that one is hard... I guess the people who's wardrobe I like I won't be able to fit into, sorry but my a** is a bit bigger than most peoples in the magazines...
7. Today I am wearing I was wearing jeans and my work shirt, but the weather was amazing when I got home, so I changed into a skirt and top and sat in the sun with a great book ("And God Created The Au Pair" I first heard of it in the fill in the blank Friday over at Erin's).

That was my blanks, now I should be packing, we are going to Sweden tomorrow and staying till Monday. We are going to get my husbands camera cleaned, in only cost 10% of what it costs here. And even better it's in Malmö, and I have a friend who lives just outside Malmö. I met here while I was an Au Pair, and last time I saw her was at our wedding. So I super excited to see her and her husband, and I get to meet her little boy Theo for the first time (she gave birth last June, so she was very much pregnant at our wedding).

Camilla and her husband Henrik at our wedding

Hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Fill In The Blank Friday

It's Friday, which means it's time for Fill In The Blank Friday. Lauren over at The Little Things We Do have chosen the theme for this week should be books, so here are my blanks.

1. My favorite book growing up was called "Troldepus" it was about this little sweet troll and his everyday adventures.

2. The funniest book I've ever read was it's hard to think of a book that really made me laugh, but I do find the shopaholic books a bit funny, you laugh at her, but at the same time you think "yeah that could be me".

3. The one book that has truly changed my life is hmm... I wish I had a book that really changed my life, but I really can't come to think of one. I read a lot of biographies and some of the people have made an impact on me, but I wouldn't say they have changed my life.

4. If you're looking for a real "tear jerker" you should probably read "chicken soup for a woman's soul", I discovered these books while I was an Au Pair in the states, it all these short stories that are true, and some of them are so heartbreaking others just so sweet. Every time I read them I'm sure to tear up, so there is one rule to them, "Don't read them in public".

5. If I could meet any author living or dead I would want to meet I was sure this was an easy question, but I have one dead and one alive, the dead one should be Hans Christian Andersen, he is a Danish author of a lot of fairy tales, and every kid in Denmark knows at least a few of his stories, though I'm not sure he would meet me, they say he was a bit of a loner, so maybe I would have better luck with my alive author which is John Grisham. What can I say, every time I get one of his books, everything else is put aside.

6. The next book on my "to read" list is "Ford County" by John Grisham, it's the only one of his books I haven't read, and it's his first collection of short stories. Uhh I might need to stop by the bookstore tomorrow.

7. If I was snowed into remote cabin in the woods and could only choose three books to bring with me I'd bring well I would probably bring one of the "Chicken soup for a woman's soul" books, a John Grisham book, I can't decide on my favourite one and last I would bring a biography of some kind.

Well that is all for me, enjoy your weekend.

Oh and thanks for all you comments on which movie I should choose, though had I paid enough attention I would have seen that "Date Night" wasn't playing on Tuesday, so "The Joneses" it is...

Fill In The Blank Friday

What a week, I've been so busy with work, but luckily today is a holiday in Denmark so I'm having a long weekend! So I will have time to catch up on everyones blogs.

Anyways, it's Friday, which means it's time for Fill In The Blank Friday. Lauren over at The Little Things We Do have chosen the theme for this week should be movies, so here are my blanks.

1. My absolute favorite movie of all time is "The Long Kiss Goodnight" I saw the first time while I was in high school, and I just loved Samuel L. Jackson.

2. My favorite movie as a child was a Danish movie called something like "The Baroness at the gas station", it was about a girl who lived with her uncles at a gas station because her mother had died, and no one knew who her father was. It turns out her father was a Baron who also had passed away, but his mother wants her to take over after her. The girl is a real tomboy and the old baroness tries to turn her into a lady.

3. The best movie quote ever is from "Forrest Gump" said by Forrest "Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get".

4. My favorite actress is Meg Ryan, she just mad a lot of great movies, I loved her in everything from "Sleepless in Seattle" to "You've got mail" and another plus is her always good looking hair Also My favorite actor is a tie between Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hanks, both great actors, I mainly like Samuel for "The Long Kiss Goodnight" but let's face it Tom Hanks did a lot of great movies, and lot of them with Meg Ryan, so whats not to love?

5. The movie I could watch over and over is "Grease" I just love the songs, I pretty much knows the movies by heart.

6. My favorite movie genre is depending on my mood, but I'm love a romantic comedy.

7. A movie I'd like to watch this weekend is I don't really have plans to watch movies this weekend, but they are having a "Romantic Comedy " theme on one of the Danish stations this weekend, which means they are showing "50 first dates", "There is something about Mary", "Keeping the Faith" and a lot more , so I might end up watching a movie or two.

Hope you all will have a great weekend!

Fill In The Blank Friday

Yeah it's time for Lauren's fill in the blank Friday, and I'm joining the fun.1. The first thing I do in the morning is wake up my husband since he doesn't always hear the alarm, then set the alarm again and turnover and sleep for another hour.

2. Every night before bed I set the alarm, read a bit, and check the alarm again before turning of the light (I don't have some disorder I just don't like being late... okay I'm not totally normal, but that is the only thing I check over and over again)

3. My favorite thing to do when I'm having a bad day is curl up on the couch, watch TV, eat chocolate and drink coffee.

4. Something that makes me cringe is the way parents talk to their kids while shopping. Since I'm working in a department store I hear a lot, I can't believe how angry the parents can get when a kids ask for something or starts to whine! For goodness sake what do they think will happen if their kids have been up early, had a long day, and then their parents takes the shopping, no wonder if they are tired.

5. Social situations excites me if I know and like the people I'm in the situation with, if it is with strangers I usually don't care too much about it. This weekend we are having a party with the people from my department at work, the party is going to be a my house and I'm super excited about it.

6. I like to collect I don't collect a lot of things, but our trip to the USA in 2007 we started a new tradition. Instead of buying a lot of souvenirs that seems cool at the sight, but not so cool when it's brought into our house, we now buy a magnet to put on our board (we soon needs a bigger board). So we are collecting magnets from the places we visit, and are reminded of all our great vacations every day.

7. Weekends are for relaxing, catching up with friends and family and partying, this weekend I will for sure be partying. And some weekends are for doing housework, but not this one, I'm pretty sure I wont be able to do any housework on Sunday, I'll probably be hungover and will have to babysit the couch and the TV.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Fill In The Blank Friday

Over the last many Fridays I have been reading peoples "Fill in the blank Friday" posts. Every Friday Lauren over at "The Little Things We Do" have a post called "Fill int the blank Friday" and figured its time for me to join the fun, so here goes...

1. Today I'm wearing at work I wore jeans and my "lovely" green shirt, when I got home I grabbed the first T-shirt in the closet, and it happens to be pink, I bought this summer in Vietnam.

2. My favorite childhood food was hotdogs, fries and pancakes and my favorite food now is well I can't choose one dish, I love all food that is well prepared and especially if it comes with good company, somehow a dull meal can taste fabulous in good company.

3. A day that I'm too busy to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee is a day that I'm too busy.

4. The last movies I saw was Flirting with 40 and the next movie I want to see is "The Blind Side" which hits the movies in Denmark in May, I have to see if Sandra Bullock deserves her Oscar;)

5. My favorite smell is fresh coffee because it means I have a chance to sit down and relax.

6. A weird little quirk I have is that I will sometimes answer a question without really listening to what people a asking because I'm doing something else. I pretend that I'm able to multitask but I guess its not my strongest side.

7. When I take personality quizzes they always say I'm outgoing and talkative, but I'm not sure its completely right, I have days that I feel awkward around people I don't know, and feel like I'm a little shy girl. But most times I talk a lot.

Enjoy your weekend!
