What a busy week...

Sorry for not blogging in a while, it seems like the last week has flown away. Last Saturday Jonas and I went to Legoland, and ended up going with a colleague of mine and her 8 year old daughter. We had an amazing day, and I can't wait to bring him there again.

Last Sunday we attended the confirmation of Frank's cousins daughter. First it was 2½ hour drive, and it totally messed up Jonas rhythm of sleeping, so as soon as we had the dessert we headed back home. The drive back was awful, Jonas was really upset and screamed quite a bit. Tomorrow we are going to another confirmation of a friend's daughter, though this one is in town, so hopefully that will be a bit better.

On Tuesday I was on a IT course, because we are getting a new system at work. They asked if I would be one of the people that will do the training of the rest of the department store as we change over. At first I was a little hesitant, but I figured that since they asked me, and they only needed 3 people, well I guess they figured I was able to do it. And besides I figured it would be nice for myself to be on board from the beginning. I was pleasantly surprised at the course, the new system is really user friendly, though I'm sure there will be quite a few things that will need changing as we go along.

Yesterday was a national holiday, and the department store was hosting a party for all employees. It started at 4 pm, and our department started ahead of time at noon. By the time we got to the real party most of our department was really drunk. Usually I would be right in there with them, but since I had to work at noon today I was being a bit careful. Around 8 pm a girl from my department had got a headache, and was being picked up. She asked if I wanted a ride, and I figured I might as well, since I would probably call a taxi soon anyways.

Today I was working, and we were busy like hell, usually around 4 pm it will cool down, but it seemed like today I was busy until 10 pm when we were closing. Though I am glad we had something to do, otherwise I would have been really exhausted, and I would have been counting the minutes till closing, today I was only counting the last 10 minutes, because I was busy right until then...

Now I will head to bed:)

Writing cramp...

I fear I might be getting a writing cramp... well not really. I have promised my cousin to write their place cards for their 25th wedding anniversary party.

I just got the list of names the other day, and got to it right away. This way I could split them up and do a little at the time.

It's kind of weird writing place cards for her 25th wedding anniversary. I know she is older than me, but I don't consider her old, but to me 25 years of marriage has always been something old people achieved...

On the other hand my parents will have their 50th wedding anniversary next year in December... can you believe it 50 years? So is 50  years for really old people?

I guess the older you get, your perspective on things change. We might not grow up, we might not feel old, which is probably why I don't consider my cousin old, even if she is in her late 40's.  So when are we actually old?

One of those days...

Today has been one of those days you just wish you could skip. I'm not going to bother you with the details, but it's been a long day at work. Well it's been a long week of work, I haven't had a day of since last Tuesday, so I can't wait for it to be Saturday, or just Friday at 10 pm and I will be of for 2 whole days.

Though my day got a bit better as the day went on, now I'm on the couch, my husband made me a cup of coffee and I'm going to relax. When I check my e-mail I found out I have been chosen to test Lego Duplo via Buzzador. Well I guess Jonas has been chosen to test it, anyways there will be a package in the mail for us soon.

I picture from Legoland from our visit last summer

Speaking of Lego I have bought a season pass for Legoland for me and since Jonas is under the age of 3 he is free. So I think this Saturday we will leave Frank at home to do some gardening and we will head to Legoland. Hopefully we will get to spent a lot of hours having fun in Legoland over the summer. I still have my season pass for the petting zoo, it will expire in July, but I figured this year Jonas would think Legoland would be fun, so we would try something different and it's not that long of a drive from us.

Hope your day was better than mine:)

Is it spring yet?

This winter has to end soon, I swear it has just been snowing... it's the beginning of April, what is happening?  Global warming? I thought that would give warmer weather!
Doing a self portrait isn't easy but I hope you get the picture:)

Last week it seemed like spring was about to come, but right now it seems that winter has won again. On the positive side though is that my current DIY project is useful now. I got a recipe from a colleague, who asked if I could knit a hat for her 3 girls and for her. At first I thought the recipe looked a bit hard, but I decided to give it a try.
Jonas tried it on as well, he thought he was really funny, unfortunately I only managed to get a picture of him with the hat half off and his eyes half closed.

It turned out when I had it in my hands, well it wasn't that hard at all. I started knitting one for myself from some yarn I had in stock:) It turned out better than expected, and I currently have 4 more to make. She gave me the yarn yesterday, so I have something to do for the next couple of weeks... or months maybe. When I started knitting last week the weather seemed to be getting better, so maybe I should just keep knitting and the sun will come out...

April seems to fly away...

I can't believe the first week of April is all ready gone, and it seems like I can't keep up with the rest of the month. All our weekends in April is booked, either with work, parties etc. I'm not sure I really looking forward to all of it.

This weekend we only had plans for today. Well Jonas had his swimming class yesterday morning, and as always we really enjoy that time. He loves being in the water, and it seems like he loves climbing out of the water and jumping in even more.

Today we went to visit a couple of friends that are expecting a baby in just a month. I have known her since kindergarten, but we haven't seen each other since January, so it was good to see them again one last time before she gives birth. We were invited to lunch and as always it's not just a simple lunch, the food is always amazing, and I always seems to overeat.

Today overeating turned out to be a good thing, because I had taken some fish out of the freezer for us to have for dinner. But after it had defrosted I didn't think it looked good, and didn't smell too good either, so that ended up in the trash and we had some leftovers from yesterday instead, there wasn't that much, but with some fries and my overeating at lunch it did the job.

I think I might be heading to bed early tonight, so I can fill up on energy for the next month... right now I really looking forward to my day off on Tuesday:)
